If we reach out to God, He will not allow any ugliness we have done to be life a chain that will forever ite us down to the past. But the good we have done in the past is not unbreakable rope with which God ties us to His side. If it's our wish to go away, he will sadly let us go. This breaking away is not an abrupt break but rather a gradual drift. Are we coming to jesus or going away from him?

Mountains in the Bible are holy places where god meets man. On a mountain, God tested Abraham's faith and trust by asking him to sacrifice his only son Isaac. (Gen 22:2) on a mountain, Jesus revealed to His apostles His divine nature in the amazing Transfiguration (Mk 9:2). Ths was to give them courage for the coming terrible event where God would sacrifice His only Son on another mountain, Mt. Calvary. We all have to climb a mountain to meet God. Mt. Pain, Mt. Poverty, Mt. Injustice, Mt. Betrayal.
